Objective:To observe the curative effect of Prof. Deng's foot bath prescription for the treatment of hypertention. Methods:32 cases of hypertension were treated by Deng's foot bath prescription and the changes of blood pressure and the improvement of symptoms were observed after treatment. Results:For hypertensive effect,9 cases were markedly effective,18 cases effective and 5 cases ineffective,the total effective rate being 84 37%, and for symptomatic relief,12 cases were markedly effective, 17 cases effective,3 cases ineffective,the total effective rate being 90 63%. Conclusion:Deng's prescription for foot bath possesses a good effect for lowering blood pressure and improving the symptoms.
