Abstract：This paper introduces Professor ZHAO Yonghou's clinical experience in treating schizophrenia based on the theory of "phlegm and blood stasis." Professor ZHAO employs a combination of acupuncture and moxibustion and Chinese medicine to treat schizophrenia based on syndrome differentiation. He believes that schizophrenia falls under the categories of depressive psychosis and manic psychosis in Chinese medicine，with the brain being the primary affected organ. His approach involves treating the condition from the perspective of phlegm and blood stasis，proposing that the disease originates from these pathogenic factors， syndromes should be differentiated based on them， and treatment should be established accordingly. Professor ZHAO divides the disease progression into four stages：prodromal phase， acute phase，chronic treatment phase，and rehabilitation phase. By integrating acupuncture and herbal medicine，his treatment aims to eliminate phlegm，dispel blood stasis，and regulate the internal organs.
