Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Warm Uterus Paste combined with Shenghua Decoction on incision healing and pain after lateral perineal incision surgery. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 95 parturients who underwent lateral perineal incision surgery at Yiwu Central Hospital from January 2022 to April 2023. According to the postoperative nursing intervention plan, they were divided into the routine group of 47 cases and the combination group of 48 cases. The routine group received routine nursing intervention after surgery, while the combination group received Warm Uterus Paste combined with Shenghua Decoction on this basis. Both groups were continuously intervened for five days. Compared the differences in postoperative incision healing, pain [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)] levels, and inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and white blood cell count (WBC) between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the perineal incision healing in the combination group was better than that in the routine group (P<0.05). The average healing time in the combination group (6.12±1.21) d was shorter than that in the routine group (7.46±2.03) d,the difference being significant (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS scores and edema scores of perineal incisions between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores and edema scores of the perineal incision in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the combination group had lower scores in both aspects than the routine group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the VAS scores of uterine contractions between the two groups (P>0.05);After 48 hours of treatment, the VAS scores for uterine contractions in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the VAS score for uterine contractions in the combination group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The average duration of uterine contractions in the combination group was( 0.34±0.09) h,which was shorter than that in the conventional group( 0.58 ± 0.13) h,the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CRP and WBC in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels of CRP and WBC in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of Warm Uterus Paste combined with Shenghua Decoction in postpartum women after lateral perineal incision surgery can significantly reduce the level of serum inflammatory mediators, effectively alleviate the pain level, accelerate postoperative incision healing, and promote postpartum recovery.
