Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Zaoren Anshen Prescription combined with Vortioxetine Hydrobromide Tablets in the treatment of depression of the heart-liver blood deficiency type. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 78 patients with depression of the heart-liver blood deficiency type at the Third Hospital of Quzhou. According to the treatment method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Vortioxetine Hydrobromide Tablets, and the observation group was treated with modified Zaoren Anshen Prescription and Vortioxetine Hydrobromide Tablets. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, and the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were evaluated, the levels of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and serotonin (5-HT) were detected before and after eight weeks of treatment. The incidence of adverse reactions within eight weeks of treatment and the clinical effects after eight weeks of treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: After eight weeks of treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The TCM syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The SDS and SAS scores in the two groups were declined when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The SDS and SAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Both groups showed a decrease in PSQI scores when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The PSQI score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of GABA and 5-HT in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). The levels of GABA and 5-HT in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 12.82% (5/39),which was higher than that in the observation group (2.56%,1/39),but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion:The combination of modified Zaoren Anshen Prescription and Vortioxetine Hydrobromide Tablets has significant clinical effects in treating depression patients of the heartliver blood deficiency type. It can effectively alleviate symptoms, reduce patients' anxiety and depression levels, and improve sleep quality, with high safety.
