Abstract:This is an introduction to Professor HU Haoyu's clinical experience in diagnosing and treating early-stage Parkinson's disease based on integrated Chinese and western medicine. Professor HU Haoyu believes that although early-stage Parkinson's disease primarily presents with syndromes of wind-fire, phlegm-heat, blood stasis, and cold-damp, it is actually a mixture of deficiency and excess, with deficiency being the root cause and the disease gradually progressing to reveal more deficiency syndromes. Therefore,he categorizes the disease into four types:qi deficiency with collateral stasis, stirring of wind due to blood deficiency, yin deficiency with phlegm-heat, and yang deficiency with congealing cold. In clinical practice, he emphasizes the integration of Chinese and western medicine, comprehensive management, attention to regulate mental state, viscera and bowels, as well as music therapy, and individualized treatment.
