Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the combination use of Hongteng Sanjie Decoction and Levofloxacin and Sodium Chloride Injection on chronic endometritis and its effect on the levels of inflammatory factors. Methods:A total of 98 patients with chronic endometritis were divided into the trial group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Levofloxacin and Sodium Chloride Injection,and the trial group was treated with Hongteng Sanjie Decoction combined with Levofloxacin and Sodium Chloride Injection. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, endometrial thickness and levels of serum inflammatory factors before and after treatment,and the clinical effects,recovery of normal menstruation and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 89.80% in the trial group, higher than that of 61.22% in the control group (P<0.05). The TCM syndrome scores and levels of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), C-reactive protein (CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the endometrial thickness was elevated (P<0.05); the TCM syndrome scores and levels of serum inflammatory factors in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the endometrial thickness was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The normal rates of menstrual volume, menstrual duration and menstrual cycle in the trial group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:The combination use of Hongteng Sanjie Decoction and Levofloxacin and Sodium Chloride Injection has a definite curative effect on chronic endometritis and its effect on the levels of inflammatory factors, which can restore the normal menstruation, increase the endometrial thickness, and regulate the level of inflammatory factors with great safety.
