Abstract： Objective： To explore the circuit-qi endowment and circuit-qi characteristics of onset in patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in Guangzhou in year of Ji hai. Methods： A total of 674 CAP patients who were hospitalized in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from January 20，2019 to January 19，2020 were selected，and the circuit-qi factors of their birth dates and onset dates were statistically analyzed. Results： The characteristics of circuit-qi endowment of CAP in the year of Ji Hai were as follows：the earth was excessive for the circuit of year， the circuit of earth was too much for the dominant circuit， the dominant qi was greater-yin damp earth， the guest qi was lesser-yin sovereign fire，and the joining of guest qi with dominant qi was that of lesseryin sovereign fire with lesser-yang ministerial fire；the circuit-qi characteristics of CAP onset in year of Ji Hai were in the following：the dominant circuit was circuit of earth，the guest circuit was deficient circuit of water， the dominant qi was lesser-yang ministerial fire and lesser-yin damp earth， the guest qi was reverting-yin wind and wood and lesser-yin sovereign fire， and the joining of guest qi with dominant qi was that of reverting-yin wind and wood with lesser-yang ministerial fire，and of lesser-yin sovereign fire with greater-yin damp earth. Conclusion：The congenital circuit-qi endowment of CAP in year of Ji Hai is the dual deficiency of the lung-spleen，endogenous phlegm-damp，and pathogenic factors are easy to be transformed from fire and heat；the circuit-qi pathogenesis of CAP onset in year of Ji Hai is deficient earth and overwhelming wood， and retention and aggregation of phlegm turbidity with single or combined invasion of wind，heat and dampness.
