Abstract: Prediabetes is in the early stage of impaired glucose regulation, with hidden onset and lingering course, which accords with the characteristics of pathogenic dampness in traditional Chinese medicine. According to the theory of pathogenic dampness in traditional Chinese medicine, the pathogenesis of prediabetes is the failure of the spleen to transport as the root, and the internal accumulation of pathogenic dampness as the branch, and lingering pathogenic dampness leads to the generation of static blood. Clinically, it is necessary to treat the root by boosting qi and fortifying the spleen, and treat the branch by transporting and transforming water-dampness; through various ways, the dampness is eliminated, and during the treatment, attention is paid to five zang-organs, supplemented by bloodinvigorating medicine to dispel stasis.
