Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the combination use of Jin's Three-Needle and timing acupoint massage and Shentong Zhuyu Decoction on post-stroke spastic hemiplegia. Methods： A total of 90 patients with post-stroke spastic hemiplegia admitted to Luohe Second People's Hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by the simple random grouping method， with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Shentong Zhuyu Decoction；the observation group was treated with Jin's three-needle and timing acupoint massage combined with Shentong Zhuyu Decoction. The clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores，Clinical Spasticity Index (CSI)，and scores of Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)， Functional Comprehensive Assessment (FCA) scale， Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) scale and Barthel Index (BI) were compared before and after treatment between the two groups. Results：After three weeks of treatment，the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of hemiplegia， decreased sensation，mouth and tongue deviation，shortness of breath and fatigue，pale complexion and spontaneous sweating in the two groups were lower than those before treatment， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). The above traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group ， differences being significant (P ＜ 0.05). After one week and three weeks of treatment，the scores of CSI and MAS in the two groups were lower than those before treatment， and the scores of FCA， FMA and BI were higher than those before treatment， differences being significant (P＜0.05). After one week and three weeks of treatment，the CSI and MAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，and the scores of FCA，FMA and BI were higher than those in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). After three weeks of treatment，the total clinical effective rate was93.33% in the observation group，and 80.00% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion：The combination use of Jin's Three-Needle and timing acupoint massage and Shentong Zhuyu Decoction can improve the hemiplegia and decreased sensation of patients with post-stroke spastic hemiplegia， mitigate the spasticity， reduce the muscle tension，and promote the recovery of limb activity and independent living ability.
