Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of medicated bath with eczema prescription on eczema of damp-heat immersion type. Methods:A total of 126 patients diagnosed with eczema of dampheat immersion type from January 2021 to December 2022 were collected and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, with 63 patients in each group, using a random number table method. The control group was treated with application of Fluticasone Propionate Cream; on the basis of the treatment plan for the control group, the medicated bath with eczema prescription was used for the treatment group. Both groups were observed continuously for four weeks. Compared the eczema severity scores, itching scores, single symptom scores of damp-heat immersion syndrome, clinical efficacy, and serum Th1/Th2 cytokine levels between the two groups. Results:After two and four weeks of treatment, the Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) scores and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores of itching in both groups were significantly reduced when compared with those before treatment, differences being significant (P<0.05);after two and four weeks of treatment, the EASI score and itching VAS score in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group at the same time, differences being significant (P<0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the single symptom scores of damp-heat immersion syndrome in both groups were significantly reduced, differences being significant (P<0.05); the single symptom score of damp-heat immersion syndrome in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interferon - γ (IFN- γ) in both groups were increased significantly when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of IL-4 and IL-6 were decreased significantly when compared with those before treatment, differences being significant (P<0.05). The levels of IL-2 and IFN- γ in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of IL-4 and IL-6 in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of clinical efficacy was 80.96% in the treatment group, which was higher than that of 66.67% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of medicated bath with eczema prescription on eczema of damp-heat immersion type is significant, which can improve the severity of eczema, relieve itching symptoms, and correct Th1/Th2 immune imbalance.
