Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Biyuan Tongqiao Granules combined with Desloratadine Tablets on chronic sinusitis without polyps. Methods： A total of 80 cases of patients with chronic sinusitis without polyps were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Desloratadine Tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with Biyuan Tongqiao Granules based on the treatment plan of the control group. Both groups were treated for 30 days. The clinical effects， the scores of symptoms like nasal congestion， distending pain in head and face， mucous nose and hyposmia， the scores of sinus CT Lund-Mackay and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy， and the levels of inflammatory factors including interleukin (IL)-2，IL-6 and IL-37 were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate of clinical effect was 90.0% in the observation group， and 67.5% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Symptom scores of nasal congestion，distending pain in head and face，mucous nose and hyposmia in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，differences being significant (P＜0.05)；the symptom scores of nasal congestion， distending pain in head and face， mucous nose and hyposmia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). The scores of sinus CT Lund-Mackay and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， differences being significant (P＜0.05). The scores of sinus CT Lund-Mackay and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy in the observation group were higher than those in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). The expression levels of IL-2 and IL-6 in serum in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment， and the levels of IL-37 were increased， differences being significant (P＜0.05)； the levels of IL-2， IL-6， and IL-37 in serum in the observation group were significantly different compared to those in the control group (P＜0.05)， with the observation group showing better results than the control group. Conclusion：Biyuan Tongqiao Granules combined with Desloratadine Tablets can regulate the expression levels of IL-2， IL-6 and IL-37， relieve the clinical symptoms of patients with chronic sinusitis without polyps，and reduce the scores of CT Lund-Mackay and nasal endoscopic Lund-Kennedy.
