Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Huoxue Shugan Decoction combined with western medicine on Parkinson's disease. Methods: A total of 90 cases of patients with Parkinson's disease admitted to Wenzhou Central Hospital were divided into the trial group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the trial group was additionally treated with Bushen Huoxue Shugan Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, scores of Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), Non-Motor Symptoms Evaluation (NMSE),Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions were evaluated in the two groups. Results: The total treatment effective rate was 95.56% in the trial group, which was higher than that of 73.33% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, TCM syndrome scores, as well as the scores of NMSE, UPDRS (UPDRS- Ⅰ, UPDRS- Ⅱ, UPDRS- Ⅲ), HAMD, HAMA, and PSQI in the two groups were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05),and the TCM syndrome scores and other scores in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.44% in the trial group, which was lower than that of 17.78% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Bushen Huoxue Shugan Decoction combined with western medicine for Parkinson's disease can effectively improve patients' cognitive function, negative emotions, and quality of sleep, with high safety.
