Effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction Combined with Conventional Western Medicine on Restenosis Rate in Patients with Lower-Extremity Arteriosclerosis Obliterans After Interventional Surgery
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine on restenosis rate in patients with lower-extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans (ASO) after interventional surgery. Methods:A total of 86 ASO patients were selected as the study subjects and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 43 cases in each group. Both groups were given interventional treatment; the control group was given conventional western medicine after surgery,and the study group was additionally treated with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects were evaluated in the two groups. The Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), Rutherford grading, and coagulation function indicators [fibrinogen (FIB) and prothrombin time (PT)] were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 93.02% in the study group, higher than that of 76.74% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,the ABI in both groups were increased when compared to those before treatment (P<0.05);the ABI in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,the restenosis rate in the study group was 13.95%,which was lower than that of 32.56% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,the number of cases with Rutherford grading above grade 3 in both groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the cases in the study group was less than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,the FIB levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion:The combination of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction and conventional western medicine can reduce the restenosis rate of ASO patients after interventional treatment,improve ankle artery blood flow,and promote the recovery of patients.
