Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of teaching clinic on the standardized training of Chinese medicine practitioners. Methods: A total of 60 Chinese medicine practitioners receiving the standardized training were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group implemented the teaching clinic mode, and the control group implemented the mode of learning from tutors by copying their prescriptions. The training duration for both groups was 50 weeks. The students in the two groups were compared in theoretical scores, independent admission scores,practical skills operation scores,and the satisfaction of teaching effect before and after the training. After the training, the satisfaction of the trainees in the two groups on their own post competence, medical history collection ability,clinical thinking progress,and doctor-patient communication ability was compared. Results: After the training, the theoretical scores and independent admission scores in the observation group as well as the theoretical scores in the control group were increased when compared with those before the training, differences being significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction on their own post competence, medical history collection ability and clinical thinking progress of the trainees in the observation group was respectively higher than that in the control group (P<0.05);although the satisfaction of doctor-patient communication ability improvement in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,there was no significant difference (P>0.05).The satisfaction in both groups was increased when compared with that before the training, differences being significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction in the observation group was slightly higher than that in the control group, there being no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion: Teaching clinic can improve the effect of standardized training of Chinese medicine practitioners,and can improve the professional theoretical knowledge,clinical diagnosis and treatment ability.
