Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of micro-needle knife at tendon nodes on scapulohumeral periarthritis in freezing period. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in freezing period were included in the study and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The treatment group received micro-needle knife at tendon nodes, and the control group received small needle knife treatment. The clinical effects, shoulder joint function, pain levels [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores], and safety were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 96.67% in the treatment group, and 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the shoulder joint function scores such as ear touch, back touch, internal rotation, and external rotation in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above scores in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores in both groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the VAS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.66% in the treatment group, and 23.33% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The micro-needle knife at tendon nodes for scapulohumeral periarthritis in freezing period can significantly improve shoulder joint function and reduce pain in patients, with better efficacy than small needle knife treatment and higher safety.
