Through the analysis of Pi Wei Lun (Treatise on the Spleen and Stomach),it is believed that "internal damage to the spleen and stomach leads to the generation of various diseases" is the core idea of Pi Wei Lun, which reflecting the five zang-organs view with the spleen and stomach as the core. The relationship between the stomach and spleen manifests as the unity and mutual opposition of yin and yang in physiology and pathology. The spleen governs the extrimites, and if the spleen and stomach are weak, the extrimites cannot be fully nourished, and thus leading to bone dysfunction. The heart and spleen participate in the generation of blood jointly; emotionally, the heart governs the spirit, leading the five minds, and if emotions damage the spleen, it will affect the heart and spirit; spleen and stomach deficiency leads to yin fire invading the heart, which often manifested as hyperactivity. The spleen and lung are in a mother-child relationship, physiologically coordinated with each other, and pathologically spleen disease can affect the lung. The qi generated by the liver and gallbladder in spring can assist the spleen and stomach in ascent of the clear, and the wood constraint can attack the earth; it is recommended to soothing the liver and resolving constraint. Spleen and stomach deficiency leads to disturbance of qi movement, with disordered qi circulation and easy occurrence of syncope syndrome, which can be treated by tonifying the spleen and stomach, and regulating qi and blood. The spleen and kidney have a congenital and postnatal relationship, mutually nourishing each other and regulating body fluids. The kidney stores water and fire, and the ministerial fire in the kidney is displaced. Ascending counterflow attacking the spleen results in the formation of yin fire;overflow of kidney water causes an increase in five fluids, and excessive dampness in the spleen can lead to internal dampness and turbidity.
