Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Zhining Tablets assisting external dissection and internal ligation on mixed hemorrhoids with damp-heat stagnation syndrome. Methods ： A total of 96 patients with mixed hemorrhoid with damp-heat stagnation syndrome were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method， with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with external dissection and internal ligation，and the treatment group was additionally treated with Zhining Tablets based on the treatment of the control group. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores， Generic Quality of Life Inventory (GQOLI-74) scores， and inflammatory factor levels in serum were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical effects，incidence of adverse reactions，and disease recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 97.92% in the treatment group，higher than that of 83.33% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores， and levels of Creactive protein (CRP)， interleukin-8 (IL-8)， and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the scores of GQOLI-74 dimension (emotional function，role function，social function，and physical function) were increased (P＜0.05). After treatment， the TCM syndrome score and inflammatory factor levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the GQOLI-74 scores were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions and disease recurrence rates were 6.25% and 2.13% in the treatment group respectively， lower than those of 25.00% and 22.50% in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Zhining Tablets assisting external dissection and internal ligation has a significant clinical effect in treating mixed hemorrhoids with damp-heat stagnation syndrome， which can reduce the body's inflammatory responses，reduce disease recurrence rates，and improve quality of life，with high safety.
