Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of the therapy of Hemorrhoid Fistula Lotion combined with Gangtai Ointment on wound healing and pain after surgery for perianal abscess. Methods ： A total of 110 patients with perianal abscess were randomly divided into the control group and the combination group， with 55 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with one-time radical surgery for perianal abscess； the control group was treated with antibiotics and Gangtai Ointment after surgery；the combination group was treated with Hemorrhoid Fistula Lotion on the basis of the control group. The clinical effects， wound healing，scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)，wound effusion，granulation tissue growth and levels of serum inflammatory factors [tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)] were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 94.55% in the combination group and 80.00% in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). After surgery， the epithelial regeneration time， rotting meat shedding time and wound healing time in the combination group were shorter than those in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). After 7 and 14 days after surgery，scores of VAS，wound effusion and granulation tissue growth in the two groups were decreased when compared with those on the day after surgery (P＜0.05)， and showed a decreasing trend (P＜0.05)； the scores of VAS， wound effusion and granulation tissue growth in the combination group were lower than those in the control group at the same time point (P＜0.05). After 7 and 14 days after surgery， the serum TNF- α levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those on the day after surgery (P＜0.05)，and showed a decreasing trend (P＜0.05)，and the level of TNF-α in the combination group was lower than that in the control group at the same time point (P＜0.05)； the VEGF levels in both groups were increased when compared with those on the day after surgery (P＜0.05)， and showed an increasing trend (P＜0.05)， and the VEGF level in the combination group was higher than that in the control group at the same time point (P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Hemorrhoid Fistula Lotion combined with Gangtai Ointment can relieve the pain after surgery of patients with perianal abscess， accelerate wound healing，and reduce the levels of inflammation，with significant therapeutic effect.
