Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tongyuan Acupuncture Therapy combined with Doxycycline on recurrent implantation failure (RIF) complicated with chronic endometritis (CE). Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with RIF complicated with CE were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,with 30 cases in each group. The western medicine control group was given oral administration of Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets for 1 menstrual cycle,and the treatment group was additionally treated with Tongyuan Acupuncture Therapy based on the treatment of the western medicine control group. Both group were treated for 3 courses, 1 menstrual cycle being 1 course of treatment. The two groups were given embryo transfer after 2 months of drug withdrawal and followed up for half year. During the follow-up, the chorionic gonadotropin β (β -HCG) positive rate, clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate were recorded and compared between the two groups. Comparison of the difference in endometrial thickness between the two groups at the time of the last transplantation and at the time of the current transplantation. Results:On the 14 days after transplantation (IVF-ET),the β-HCG positive rate was 36.67% in the treatment group,higher than that of 13.33% in the control group,the difference being significant (P<0.05). On the 28 days after transplantation,the clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate were respectively 33.33% and 20.41% in the treatment group, higher than those of 10.00% and 6.00% in the western medicine control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). The difference of endometrial thickness between last implantation and this one in the treatment group was greater than that in the western medicine control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on oral administration of Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets, the combination with Tongyuan Acupuncture Therapy for RIF complicated with CE can effectively promote the growth of endometrial membrane and improve the pregnancy outcome of patients.
