Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Gangmei Zhike Mixture combined with western medicine for postinfectious cough of wind pathogen lingering in the lung type. Methods ： A total of 100 cases of patients with postinfectious cough of wind pathogen lingering in the lung type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method， with 50 cases in each group. During treatment， 3 cases were excluded from the observation group and 2 cases were excluded from the control group；finally，there were 47 cases in the observation group and 48 cases in the control group. The control group was treated with Chlorphenamine Maleate Tablets and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide Tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with Gangmei Zhike Mixture based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 6 days. Clinical effects， traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores， and scores of Mandarin Chinese version of Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ) were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment，the total effective rate was 95.74% in the observation group，higher than that of 81.25% in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of the main symptoms and secondary symptoms， as well as the total TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the scores of the main symptoms and secondary symptoms，as well as the total TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). The scores in physical， psychological， social， and the total LCQ scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the scores in physical，psychological，social，and the total LCQ scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，differences being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion：In the treatment of postinfectious cough of wind pathogen lingering in the lung type，Gangmei Zhike Mixture combined with western medicine has good clinical effect，and can effectively relieve clinical symptoms and improve quality of life.
