Abstract:Objective:To observe the curative effect of gastrodin combined with citicoline for posterior circulation ischemic vertigo (PCIV). Methods: A total of 104 cases of PCIV patients were retrospectively selected and divided into the control group and the combination group according to different treatment schemes, with 50 and 54 cases in each group respectively. Both groups received routine intervention treatment. The control group was given oral administration of Cytidine Sodium Capsules based on the treatment of routine intervention treatment, and the combination group was additionally treated with Gastrodin Injection based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 14 days. Clinical effects were evaluated in the two groups. The scores of Dizziness Assessment Rating Scale (DARS) and Dizziness Handicap Inventory-Screening version (DHI-S), cerebral artery blood flow velocity, and hemorheological indicators [plasma viscosity (PV), whole blood high-shear viscosity (HSV), whole blood low-shear viscosity (LSV), and hematocrit (Hct)] were compared before and after treatment between the two groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions was counted in the two groups. Results: The total clinical effective rate was 96.30% in the combination group, higher than that of 78.00% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of DARS and DHI-S in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the scores in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of mean blood flow velocity of the basilar artery, left vertebral artery, and right vertebral artery in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and each velocity in the combination group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment,PV,HSV,LSV,and Hct in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the four indicators in the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Gastrodin combined with citicoline has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of PCIV,which may alleviate vertigo symptoms by improving the patient's hemorheological indicators.
