Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of Yupingfeng San combined with Cangerzi San on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes， level of eosinophil chemotactic factor (Eotaxin) in serum and oxidative stress in patients with allergic rhinitis. Methods：A total of 134 cases of patients with allergic rhinitis were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method，with 67 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine，and the study group was treated with Yupingfeng San combined with Cangerzi San. Clinical effects were compared between the two groups. TCM syndrome scores， levels of Eotaxin in serum， and oxidative stress indicators were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 95.52% in the study group， higher than that of 79.10% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of sneezing， runny nose， nasal itching， nasal congestion and other nasal symptoms，as well as TCM syndrome scores of faint，low voice，shortness of breath， fatigue， poor appetite， and thin， unformed stool in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum interferon-γ (IFN-γ)，immunoglobulin M (IgM)， immunoglobulin A (IgA)， and immunoglobulin G (IgG) in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05)；the levels of serum interleukin-4 (IL-4) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the level in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the two groups were increased (P＜0.05)，and the level in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05)； the levels of serum malondialdehyde (MDA) and Eotaxin in the two groups were decreased (P＜0.05)， and the levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P＜ 0.05). Conclusion： Yupingfeng San combined with Cangerzi San for allergic rhinitis can effectively relieve clinical symptoms， inhibit body inflammatory responses， reduce oxidative stress levels， and improve clinical effects.
