Abstract: Objective: To analyze the medication rule of treating interstitial lung disease (ILD) with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) based on data mining technology. Methods: Literature on treating ILD with TCM were collected and screened from CNKI, VIP database and Wanfang database from January 2012 to September 2022, and after the establishment of the database, the characteristics of medication were analyzed, and SPSS Modeler 18.0 software was used for cluster analysis and association rule analysis. Results : A total of 68 prescriptions and 175 kinds of Chinese medicinals were included. There were 29 kinds of Chinese medicinals of or over 10 times in terms of medicinal frequency, including Astragali Radix,Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Angelicae Sinensis Radix,Ophiopogonis Radix and so on. The medicinal natures were mainly warm, cold and neutral, and the five flavors were sweet, bitter and acrid; the medicinals mostly entered into the lung meridian. In terms of effects, the majority was deficiency-supplementing medicinals, cough and panting-relieving medicinals, blood-invigorating and stasis-dissolving medicinals and heat-clearing medicinals. Association rules showed 46 groups of medicinals, and the top ones in terms of support were Angelicae Sinensis Radix-Ophiopogonis Radix+ Astragali Radix, and Astragali Radix-Ophiopogonis Radix+Angelicae Sinensis Radix. Three prescriptions were obtained by high-frequency medicinals clustering. Conclusion: Qi deficiency is the basic pathogenesis of ILD,and supplementing qi is the primary treatment method for ILD. When using TCM to treat the disease, qi-supplementing medicinals, yin-supplementing medicinals, blood-invigorating medicinals, phlegm-resolving medicinals and heat-clearing medicinals are mostly used in combination. Multiple Chinese medicinals are used together, the root cause and the symptoms are treated simultaneously.
