Abstract： Decreased ovarian reserve can lead to irregular menstruation， amenorrhoea and even infertility， which has a certain negative impact on the body and mind of women of childbearing age. The pathogenesis of decreased ovarian reserve complicated with infertility lies in kidney deficiency and liver depression，kidney qi deficiency，binding constraint of liver qi，liver-kidney depletion，inhibited qi-blood transformation and generation， and blockage of conception and thoroughfare vessels to transport， which leads to difficulty in pregnancy. This paper discusses from syndrome differentiation of the kidney and liver after combining classical and modern literature and summarizing relevant medical cases. In the treatment of the disease， methods are mainly supplementing the kidney and soothing the liver， and others include supplementing deficiency and impairment and regulating qi movement， supplemented by boosting qi and nourishing the blood，fortifying the spleen and boosting the stomach. While supplementing the kidney and regulating the liver， attention is also paid to fortifying the spleen. All methods are adopted to make conception and thoroughfare vessels unblocked and exuberant，which results in a great therapeutic effect.
