Abstract:Peripheral neuropathy is a type of disease that affects the peripheral nervous system of the body and has serious influences on the daily activities of patients. YANG Jizhou's Zhen Jiu Da Cheng (The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) pointed out that the external causes of peripheral neuropathy are mainly wind, cold and pathogenic dampness, and the internal causes are mostly kidney deficiency and damage. Among them, numbness of limbs is mostly deficiency syndrome, which should not be treated with drainage but supplemention. YANG's acupuncture and moxibustion treatment mainly focuses on the local selection of points for limb lesions, and is good at taking the points on yang meridians of the hand and the foot, treating yin from yang, and regulating and tonifying kidney qi; in the clinical treatment focuses on selecting points according to the location of the disease and advocates moxibustion. The authors analyze the academic features of YANG Jizhou's Zhen Jiu Da Cheng on the treatment of peripheral neuropathy with the combination of clinical practice, in order to provide more reference for acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.
