Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupotomy combined with electro-acupuncture for mixed cervical spondylosis with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. Methods:A total of 200 cases of patients with mixed cervical spondylosis with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training and the treatment group was additionally treated with acupotomy combined with electro-acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 3 weeks. The clinical effects, the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)syndrome scores, the scores of Evaluation Scale for Cervical Vertigo (ESCV),Cervical Pain Scale and McGill Pain Questionnaire (MPQ),and hemodynamic indexes were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: After 3 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After 3 weeks of treatment, TCM syndrome scores, Cervical Pain Scale scores, MPQ scores [emotion, sensation, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)] in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and ESCV scores were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). TCM syndrome scores, Cervical Pain Scale scores,MPQ scores (emotion, sensation,VAS) in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),and ESCV score was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After 3 weeks of treatment, the levels of end-diastolic blood flow velocity (Vd),mean blood flow velocity (Vm) and systolic peak blood flow velocity (Vp) in left vertebral artery (LVA), right vertebral artery (RVA) and basilar artery (BA) in the two groups were higher than those before treatment (P<0.05);the levels of Vp, Vm and Vd in BA, LVA and RVA in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Acupotomy combined with electro-acupuncture has a good clinical effect in the treatment of mixed cervical spondylosis with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, which can effectively relieve the symptoms of mixed cervical spondylosis, relieve pain and improve hemodynamics.
