Abstract: Objective: To observe the curative effect of modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction combined with acupuncture on hypomenorrhea with syndrome of kidney deficiency with blood stasis. Methods:A total of 180 patients with hypomenorrhea with syndrome of kidney deficiency with blood stasis were selected and divided into the control group, the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the combination group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine modern medicine for treatment; the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group was treated with routine modern medicine combined with modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction;the acupuncture group was treated with routine modern medicine combined with acupuncture, and the combination group was treated with routine modern medicine combined with modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction. The four groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptom scores, menstrual volume, endometrial thickness, curative effects, levels of sex hormones and incidence of adverse reactions before and after treatment were considered the observation indexes. Results:After treatment, the TCM symptom scores, scores of primary and secondary symptoms and the total scores in the four groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above three scores in the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder group, the acupuncture group and the combination group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the above three scores in the combination group were lower than those in the control group, the modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder group and the acupuncture group (P<0.05). After treatment, the menstrual volume and endometrial thickness in the four groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above two indexes in the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the combination group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the above two indexes in the combination group were higher than those in the control group, the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group and the acupuncture group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate in the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the combination group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05),and the clinical effect in the combination group was better than that in the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum estradiol (E2) levels in the four groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hornone (LH) were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); the serum E2 levels in the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the combination group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the levels of serum FSH and LH were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05);the serum E2 level in the combination group was lower than that in the other three groups, and the levels of serum FSH and LH were lower than those in the other three groups (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was respectively 4.76%,6.98%,7.14% and 14.29% in the control group, the modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction group, the acupuncture group and the combination group, there being no significance in the difference (P>0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of modified Danggui Shaoyao San Decoction combined with acupuncture can reduce the clinical symptoms of patients with hypomenorrhea with syndrome of kidney deficiency with blood stasis, enhance the curative effect, improve the levels of sex hormones with good safety.
