Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Guanxinning Tablets and Huatan Tongluo Prescription combined with western medicine for acute ischemic stroke with wind-phlegm obstructing the collaterals syndrome. Methods： A total of 60 cases of patients with acute ischemic stroke with windphlegm obstructing the collaterals syndrome were selected and divided into the control group and the trial group， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with western medicine， and the trial group was treated with Guanxinning Tablets combined with Huatan Tongluo Prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 14 days. The clinical effects，D-dimer (D-D) levels， and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores were compared between the two groups. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 96.67% in the trial group，higher than that of 83.33% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). After 7 and 14 days of treatment， the NIHSS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the NIHSS scores in the trial group were lower than those in the control group during the same period， differences being significant (P＜0.05). After treatment，the D-D levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment， and the D-D level in the trial group was lower than that in the control group， differences being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Guanxinning Tablets and Huatan Tongluo Prescription combined with western medicine for acute ischemic stroke with wind-phlegm obstructing the collaterals syndrome can adjust the D-D level，improve the neurological function，and have a better curative effect than using western medicine alone.
