Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of external application of Chinese medicine hot packages on low back pain after laparoscopic myomectomy. Methods:A total of 104 patients with low back pain after receiving laparoscopic myomectomy were selected as the study subjects, and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was given routine symptomatic treatment after surgery, and the observation group was additionally treated with external application of Chinese medicine hot packages based on the treatment of the control group. The scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) of low back pain, scores of Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), range of motion of lumbar and scores of 36- Item Short- Form (SF- 36) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the scores of VAS and ODI in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05), and the above two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the range of motion of anteflexion, side bend and backward extension of lumbar in the two groups was increased (P<0.05), and the range of motion of anteflexion, side bend and backward extension of lumbar in the observation group was greater than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the SF- 36 score of each dimension in the two groups was increased (P<0.05),and the SF-36 score of each dimension in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 92.31% in the observation group, higher than that of 75.00% in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The external application of Chinese medicine hot packages has a significant curative effect on low back pain after laparoscopic myomectomy, which can mitigate the degree of pain, improve the lumbar dysfunction and range of motion of lumbar, and enhance the quality of life of patients.
