Abstract： Treating the Blocked by Blocking method refers to the use of tonifying methods to treat diseases with the illusion of block. Chinese medicine believes that the main etiology and pathogenesis of urinary retention in early pregnancy are the spleen and kidney qi deficiency，dysfunction of qi movement in ascending and descending， and dysfunction of the bladder qi transformation， which belong to the syndrome of the root being in deficiency and branch being in excess. As for treatment， we should pay attention to the whole and find the root of the disease. Modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Zhuling Decoction can help achieve good effects in the treatment of inhibited urination caused by dysfunction of the bladder qi transformation.
