Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of two electroacupuncture schemes combined with infrared radiation for postoperative urinary retention. Methods: A total of 90 patients with postoperative urinary retention were divided into the control group, the treatment group A and the treatment group B, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received infrared radiation therapy, the treatment group A received electroacupuncture (high- frequency) and infrared radiation therapy, and the treatment group B received electroacupuncture (low-frequency) and infrared radiation therapy. The clinical effects of the three groups were evaluated, and the urination status and urodynamic indicators were compared in the three groups. Results:The total effective rates in the treatment group A and the treatment group B were higher than that in the control group (P<0.05),and the total effective rate in the treatment group B was higher than that in the treatment group A (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of the first urination time and urination difficulty in the treatment group A and the treatment group B were lower than those in the control group, and the first urination volume and 2- hour urination volume were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of the first urination time and urination difficulty in the treatment group B were lower than those in the treatment group A,and the first urination volume and 2-hour urination volume after treatment were higher than those in the treatment group A (P<0.05). After treatment, the bladder volume, average urine flow rates, detrusor pressure, and maximum urine flow rates in the three groups were all increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the bladder volume, average urine flow rates, detrusor pressure, and maximum urine flow rates in the treatment group A and the treatment group B were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and all indicators in the treatment group B were higher than those in the treatment group A (P<0.05). Conclusion: Electroacupuncture combined with infrared radiation treatment for postoperative urinary retention can enhance the curative effect, promote the improvement of urination and urodynamic indicators, and low- frequency electroacupuncture is more effective than high-frequency electroacupuncture.
