Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Quban Granules combined with Q- Switched 1064(Q1064) nm laser on melasma. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with melasma were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with Quban Granules combined with Q1064 nm laser, and the control group was simply treated with Q1064 nm laser. Melasma Area and Severity Index (mMASI) scores,Melasma Quality of Life Scale (MelasQOL) scores and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores were compared before and after treatment between the two groups; clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the scores of mMASI and MelasQOL in the two groups were decreased (P<0.05), and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes such as depression or irritability, fullness, distension and discomfort in the chest and hypochondrium, breast distension before or during menstruation, irregular menstrual cycle, bitter taste in the mouth, and dry throat were all decreased in the two groups (P<0.05),and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate was 92.50% in the observation group, higher than that of 75.00% in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion:Quban Granules combined with Q1064 nm laser for melasma can improve clinical effect, relieve clinical symptoms and reduce the scores of mMASI and MelasQOL,without increasing adverse reactions.
