Abstract：This paper introduces Professor XU Lianwei's clinical experience in treating polycystic ovary syndrome from the liver and the spleen with soft extract based on syndrome differentiation. Professor XU Lianwei believes that the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome is the deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality， and should be treated from the liver， the spleen and the kidney based on syndrome differentiation. That is to nourish its "origin" by fortifying the spleen，supplementing essence and nourishing blood，and to dispel its "excess" by dissolving phlegm，soothing the liver and resolving stasis. Soft extract used in winter are strictly prescribed and modified according to syndrome differentiation，and they are easy to take and convenient for patients to adhere to，so it can receive good clinical effect in clinical practice.
