Abstract： This paper summarizes and introduces the clinical experience of Professor SU Xuan in the treatment of Guillain-Barré syndrome based on the theory of the unity of spirit and form. Professor SU Xuan holds that the main pathogenesis of Guillain- Barré syndrome includes the oppressed vital activity abode， abnormal qi and blood in viscera and bowels，dystrophy of body constituent，and separation of form and spirit. In the treatment， Professor SU proposes the principles of regulating spirit and guiding qi， and fortifying the spleen and stomach， the treatment pattern of "firstly apply acupuncture， secondly using moxibustion，thirdly focusing on consolidation"，and the methods of acupuncture，grain-sized moxibustion， and intradermal needle，to unify and harmony the form and spirit，which can help ensure the source of qi and blood production，the orderly distribution of qi and blood，and the nourishment of viscera，bowels， sinews，vessels and muscles.
