Abstract： This paper introduces Professor YUAN Qing's clinical experience in treating epilepsy in children. Professor YUAN Qing believes that the pathogenesis of epilepsy in children is yin- yang disharmony，disorder of qi movement，and damage of the heart and spirit. Acupuncture treatment mainly focuses on awakening the brain and regulating the spirit，and harmonizing qi，blood，yin and yang. The commonly used point groups are the group of three needles for epilepsy，the group of points for awakening the spirit，the group of points for calming the spirit，and the Siguanxue points group，etc. Professor YUAN Qing stresses that the essence of spirit-regulating needling method lies in the unity of original spirit and heart spirit. Children's spirit needs to be regulated，and there also needs to be a high degree of trust and cooperation between children and Chinese medicine practitioners.
