Abstract:Objective:To observe the application effect of the mixed teaching mode based on bedside teaching program in the practical teaching of otorhinolaryngology of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods: The teaching reform of “clinical course integration” was carried out on the courses of otorhinolaryngology of traditional Chinese medicine in the admitted “Guowei Class” of 2017 of the Second Clinical Medical School of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. According to the characteristics of otorhinolaryngology diseases,the teaching content was arranged with single disease as the main line. Two-thirds of the class hours were used in the form of “bedside teaching program combined with discussion" in course teaching. At the end of the courses,the teaching effect was evaluated by questionnaire. Through various evaluation mechanisms of learning, the learning outcomes of students were assessed. Results: Most students considered that they could pay attention to the summary and application of clinical knowledge in the course of otorhinolaryngology of traditional Chinese medicine, and that bedside teaching program had a good effect on the cultivation of clinical thinking, and that way they were clear about the teaching purpose of otorhinolaryngology of traditional Chinese medicine. Conclusion: The mixed teaching mode based on bedside teaching program enables medical students to better acquire clinical knowledge, cultivate the clinical thinking,and ability to diagnose and treat,and improve the teaching efficiency.
