Study on Treatment Rules of Traditional Chinese Medicine Master ZHOU Zhongying for Connective Tissue Disease Complicated with Interstitial Lung Disease Based on Data Mining
Abstract:Objective:To study the diagnosis and treatment rules as well as medication experience of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) master ZHOU Zhongying for connective tissue disease complicated with interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD) based on data mining. Methods:The medical records of Professor ZHOU Zhongying treating CTD- ILD were collected, and the data were mined by means of frequency analysis, association rules, and cluster analysis. Results: A total of 128 cases of medical records were selected, containing 193 Chinese medicinals. There were six kinds of diseases involved, and the top five pathogenesis were damage to both qi and yin, phlegm- stasis obstructing the lung, lung deficiency and heat constraint,liver- kidney deficiency, and spleen deficiency and lung weakness. The top five Chinese medicinals used were Adenophorae Radix, Glehniae Radix, Ophiopogonis Radix, Perillae Fructus, and Pseudostellariae Radix; association rule analysis showed that the Chinese medicinals with the higher confidence and support were Adenophorae Radix,Glehniae Radix,Ophiopogonis Radix,Pseudostellariae Radix, and Astragali Radix for damage to both qi and yin;Perillae Fructus,Persicae Semen,Houttuyniae Herba, Batryticatus Bombyx, Herba Euphoribiae Helioscopiae, Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparatum, and Herba Erodii Stephaniani for phlegm-stasis obstructing the lung;four prescription groups were obtained by cluster analysis on high-frequency used medicinals, which mainly used for boosting qi and nourishing yin, dispelling phlegm and dissolving stasis, supplementing lung and fortifying the spleen, supplementing and boosting liver and kidney, and dispelling wind and eliminating dampness. Conclusion: Professor ZHOU Zhongying, the TCM master, advocated the combination of disease and syndrome in treating CTD- ILD, and making composite prescriptions with regulating and nourishing being the key based on the compound pathogenesis in the dynamic process of disease development.
