Abstract： Professor CUI Wencheng believes that functional constipation of yin deficiency and spleen weakness type in children is caused by deficiency of kidney yin，damage of spleen yin，failure of the spleen to transport nutrients，lack of the source of the generation and transformation of body fluid and failure of large intestine to moisten， resulting in conduction dysfunction， which leads to constipation. In terms of treatment，he advocates enriching yin and fortifying the spleen，and moistening the intestines to promote defecation. He uses the empirical prescription Dihuang Tongbei Granules to treat functional constipation of yin deficiency and spleen weakness in children，and the effect is remarkable. Attached two medical cases are elaborated.
