Clinical Study on Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application Combined with Western Medicine for Pernicious Vomiting During Pregnancy of Phlegm-Damp Obstruction Type
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with western medicine for pernicious vomiting during pregnancy of phlegm- damp obstruction type. Methods: A total of 60 cases of patients with pernicious vomiting during pregnancy of phlegm- damp obstruction type were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with symptomatic treatment of western medicine, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine acupoint application based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 7 days. The scores of modified Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis (PUQE) and Nausea and Vomiting of Pregnancy-Specific Quality of Life (NVPQOL) before and after treatment, clinical effects, urinary ketone body turning negative and hospitalization time were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total clinical effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group, higher than that of 70.00% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). The scores of modified PUQE and NVPQOL in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores of modified PUQE and NVPQOL in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). The urinary ketone body turning negative and hospitalization time in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Based on symptomatic treatment of western medicine, the application of Chinese medicine acupoint application for pernicious vomiting during pregnancy of phlegm- damp obstruction type can enhance clinical effects, relieve the symptom of vomiting, improve quality of life, and shorten hospitalization time.
