Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Simiao Powder combined with electrical stimulation biofeedback therapy for postpartum uterine prolapse with damp- heat pouring downward syndrome. Methods: A total of 104 cases of patients with postpartum uterine prolapse with damp- heat pouring downward syndrome were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated with electrical stimulation biofeedback therapy, and the observation group was treated with modified Simiao Powder combined with electrical stimulation biofeedback therapy. Both groups were treated for 3 treatment courses, with 3 weeks being 1 course. The follow- up lasted for 6 months. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome scores, pelvic floor muscle strength, the potential and voltage of pelvic floor muscle, as well as the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. The incidence of adverse reactions were recorded. Results: The total clinical effective rate was 100% in the observation group, higher than that of 88.46% in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of bearing down sensation in the lower abdomen, vaginal prolapse, yellow liquid dripping, scanty yellow urine, and burning and stabbing pain during urination, and the total TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above five TCM syndrome scores and the total TCM syndrome score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The muscle strength of pelvic floor muscle, the maximum value of pelvic floor muscle voltage and the average value of pelvic floor muscle voltage in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the above indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). During treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions was 7.69% in the observation group and 3.85% in the control group, there being no significance in the difference (P>0.05). Conclusion: Modified Simiao Powder combined with electrical stimulation biofeedback therapy for postpartum uterine prolapse with damp- heat pouring downward syndrome can strengthen pelvic floor muscle strength, alleviate clinical symptoms, with good safety.
