Effect of Fumigation-Washing with Modified Kushen Decoction Combined with Infra⁃ red Hot Lamp on Wound Healing and Anal Function of Patients After Surgery for High Complex Anal Fistula
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of fumigation- washing with modified Kushen Decoction combined with infrared hot lamp on wound healing and anal function of patients after surgery for high complex anal fistula. Methods: A total of 92 patients after surgery for high complex anal fistula were selected and divided into the control group and the trial group,with 46 cases in each group. After surgery, the control group was treated with fumigation- washing with Potassium Permanganate Solution combined with infrared hot lamp, and the trial group was treated with fumigation- washing with modified Kushen Decoction combined with infrared hot lamp. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The clinical effects, wound healing,scores of clinical symptoms and pain,and anal function were compared between the two groups. Results:After 2 weeks of treatment,the total clinical effective rate was 100% in the trial group, higher than that of 86.96% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). The wound healing rate in the trial group was higher than that in the control group, the maximum vertical and transverse diameters of wound were shorter than those in the control group,and wound drainage amount was less than that in the control group,differences being significant (P<0.05). After 1 week of treatment, the scores of bleeding,granulation morphology,wound drainage and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those after 1 day of operation (P<0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, the above 4 scores in both groups were decreased when compared those after 1 week of treatment (P<0.05). The above 4 scores in the trial group at the same period after treatment were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, the anal maximum contraction pressure (AMCP) in both groups was increased when compared with that before surgery,the anal longest contraction time (ALCT) was increased when compared with that before surgery, and the Wexner score was decreased when compared with that before surgery, differences being significant (P<0.05); the ACMP in the trial group was higher than that in the control group, the ALCT was longer than that in the control group,and the Wexner score was lower than that in the control group,differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The fumigation- washing with modified Kushen Decoction combined with infrared hot lamp can promote the recovery of wound healing of patients after surgery for high complex anal fistula, and improve the clinical symptoms and anal function.
