Clinical Study on Qingfei Huatan Xuanfei Mixture Combined with Western Medicine for Community-Acquired Pneumonia of Phlegm-Heat Obstructing the Lung Type
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Qingfei Huatan Xuanfei Mixture combined with western medicine for community-acquired pneumonia of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung type. Methods: A total of 80 cases of patients with community-acquired pneumonia were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine,and the treatment group was additionally treated with Qingfei Huatan Xuanfei Mixture based on the treatment of the control group. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores,white blood cell count and neutrophil percentage were compared before and after treatment between the two groups;the total effective rate of curative effect of syndromes,the total effective rate of chest CT inflammation absorption,and the safety in the two groups were compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of curative effect of syndromes was 92.50% in the treatment group,higher than that of 85.00% in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of chest CT inflammation absorption was 77.50% in the treatment group,higher than that of 55.00% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, TCM syndrome scores (main symptom score, secondary symptom score, the total score), white blood cell counts and neutrophil percentage in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and TCM syndrome score,white blood cell count in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). No serious adverse reaction was observed in the two groups. Conclusion: Qingfei Huatan Xuanfei Mixture combined with western medicine has a definite curative effect in the treatment of community- acquired pneumonia of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung type,which can promote the absorption of lung inflammation and reduce infection,with high safety.
