Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Wenfei Zhiliu Pellets combined with western medicine for allergic rhinitis of lung qi deficiency-cold type and its effect on serum inflammatory factors and immune function. Methods：A total of 84 cases of patients with allergic rhinitis of lung qi deficiency- cold type were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random nunmber table method， with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine， and the observation group was additionally treated with Wenfei Zhiliu Pellets based on the treatment of the control group. Symptom scores，serum inflammatory factors，and serum immune function indexes were compared before and after treatment between the two groups；clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were evaluated. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate was 95.24% in the observation group，higher than that of 80.95% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，nasal symptom scores， ocular symptom scores， and the total symptom scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the nasal symptom score，the ocular symptom score，and the total symptom score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of interleukin (IL)- 4， IL- 5， IL- 17， tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α)， immunoglobulin (Ig) E，IgG，and CD8 + in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and the levels of IL-10，IL-35，CD4+，and CD4+/CD8+ were increased (P＜0.05)；the levels of IL- 4，IL- 5，IL- 17，TNF- α，IgE，IgG，and CD8 + in serum in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the levels of IL-10，IL-35，CD4+，and CD4 +/CD8 + were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.38% in the observation group， lower than that of 19.05% in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Wenfei Zhiliu Pellets combined with western medicine for allergic rhinitis of lung qi deficiency-cold type has a definite curative effect， and can significantly reduce inflammatory responses and improve immune function，with high safety.
