Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine fumigation combined with box moxibustion therapy for limb dysfunction after stroke. Methods:A total of 118 cases of patients with limb dysfunction after stroke were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 59 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine fumigation combined with box moxibustion therapy based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 3 months. Before and after treatment, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, limb function, and degree of neurological deficit were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the scores of hemiplegia, limb numbness, fatigue, and shortness of breath in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), the scores of hemiplegia, limb numbness, fatigue, and shortness of breath in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After a 1-month treatment, the scores of upper limb function and lower limb function in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); the scores of upper limb function and lower limb function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and NIHSS score was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After a 3-month treatment, the scores of upper limb function and lower limb function in the two groups were increased when compared with those after a 1-month treatment (P<0.05),and the NIHSS scores were decreased when compared with those after a 1- month treatment (P<0.05); the scores of upper limb function and lower limb function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the NIHSS score was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Chinese medicine fumigation combined with box moxibustion therapy can effectively improve the limb function and promote the recovery of neurological function in patients after stroke.
