Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupotomy combined with American chiropractic for cervical vertigo. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with cervical vertigo were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with acupotomy, and the observation group was treated with acupotomy combined with American chiropractic. Both groups were treated for three times, and once a week. Before treatment, one week after the first course of treatment, and three months after the first course of treatment, the scores of Cervical Vertigo Symptoms and Function Assessment Scale were evaluated, and variance of bilateral lateral atlantodental interval (VBLADI) was measured, and the curative effects were finally evaluated. Results:One week after the first course of treatment and three months after the first course of treatment, the scores of vertigo, head, neck and shoulder, daily work, and psychosocial adaptation in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the scores of vertigo, head, neck and shoulder, daily work, and psychosocial adaptation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). One week after the first course of treatment and three months after the first course of treatment, VBLADI in the two groups was lower than that before treatment, and VBLADI in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between vertigo scores and VBLADI: the smaller the vertigo score, the more serious the vertigo symptoms, and the more serious the atlantodental dislocation. The cure rate of clinical effect was 40.00% in the observation group and 16.60% in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Bonesetting and sinew- softening acupotomy combined with American chiropractic for cervical vertigo is better than simple application of acupotomy.
