Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of electrocephalic acupuncture combined with speech rehabilitation training on patients with post-stroke motor aphasia and its influence on their speech function and degree of aphasia. Methods： A total of 70 patients with post- stroke motor aphasia were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method， with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with speech rehabilitation training， and the observation group was additionally given electrocephalic acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects and the scores of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes， China Rehabilitation Research Center Aphasia Examination (CRRCAE)， Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination (BDAE) and Chinese version of Stroke Aphasia Quality of Life Scale (SAQOL-39g) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results：The total effective rate was 88.57% in the observation group， higher than that of 68.57% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores of hemiplegia， abundant phlegm and dizziness， deviated mouth and tongue， and aphasia or sluggish speech in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the degree of aphasia was relieved (P＜0.05). After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05)， and the degree of aphasia was less than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of reading comprehension， retelling， fluency and writing in CRRCAE and SAQOL- 39g were increased in the two groups when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the CRRCAE and SAQOL- 39g scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group after treatment (P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of electrocephalic acupuncture combined with speech rehabilitation training has a significant therapeutic effect on the treatment of post- stroke motor aphasia patients，which can effectively improve their speech function，lessen the severity of aphasia，and enhance the quality of life.
