Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of Xiaopiling Granules combined with Estazolam Tablets on insomnia with heart-spleen deficiency syndrome. Methods：A total of 86 cases of patients with insomnia were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method，with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Estazolam Tablets， and the treatment group was treated with Xiaopiling Granules combined with Estazolam Tablets. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)，clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 95.35% in the treatment group and 79.07% in the control group，the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of sleep quality， sleep latency， sleep duration， habitual sleep efficiency， sleep disturbance， use of sleep medication and daytime dysfunction in PSQI between the two groups (P＞0.05)； after treatment， the above scores in PSQI in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)，and each score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). During treatment，the incidence of adverse reactions was 9.30% in the treatment group and 30.23% in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Xiaopiling Granules combined with Estazolam Tablets has a significant curative effect in treating insomnia with heartspleen deficiency syndrome，and can further improve the symptoms of insomnia and effectively reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
