Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Jingtian Quban Capsules assisting fractional laser for melasma. Methods：A total of 94 cases of patients with melasma were selected as study objects and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method， with 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with fractional laser，and the observation group was additionally treated with Jingtian Quban Capsules based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects， the skin lesion color， the skin lesion area， the estrogen levels and the recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 95.74% in the observation group， better than that of 80.85% in the control group (P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of follicle- stimulating hormone (FSH)， serum estradiol (E2) and luteinizing hormone (LH) between the two groups (P＞0.05). After treatment，the levels of FSH，E2 and LH in the observation group were lower than those before treatment and those in the control group (P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of skin lesion color and area between the two groups (P＞0.05). After treatment， the scores of skin lesion color and area in the two groups were lower those before treatment (P＜0.05)；the scores of skin lesion color and area in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜ 0.05). The recurrence rate was 2.22% in the observation group，lower than that of 18.42% in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Jingtian Quban Capsules assisting fractional laser has a significant effect in the treatment of melasma，which is conducive to improving the skin lesion color，reducing the skin lesion area and decreasing the estrogen levels in the body，with a low recurrence rate.
