Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Kushuanghuang Lotion combined with western medicine on the treatment of bacterial vaginitis. Methods： A total of 100 patients with bacterial vaginitis were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Metronidazole Tablets and Lacidophilin Vaginal Capsules， and the observation group was additionally treated with Kushuanghuang Lotion based on the treatment of the control group. The improvement time of clinical symptoms of vulvar burning pain， lumbar and abdominal pain， abnormal leucorrhea and vulvar pruritus were compared between the two groups. The C- reactive protein (CRP)， interleukin- 6 (IL- 6)， tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)，traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and vaginal health scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were also evaluated. Results：After treatment，the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the improvement time of clinical symptoms vulvar burning pain，lumbar and abdominal pain，abnormal leucorrhea and vulvar pruritus in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the levels of IL- 6， TNF- α， CRP in the vaginal lavage fluid and TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the vaginal health scores were increased (P＜0.05)，and the improvement of the above indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group after treatment (P＜0.05). No adverse medicinal reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion：The therapy of Kushuanghuang Lotion combined with western medicine has a definite effect on the treatment of bacterial vaginitis，which can improve the clinical symptoms of patients，reduce the inflammatory reactions，and has high safety.
