Clinical Study on Point Massage Combined with Thumbtack Needle in Prevention of Nausea and Vomiting Induced by Patient-Controlled Analgesia After General Anesthe⁃ sia Surgery
Abstract: Objective: To observe the preventive effect of point massage combined with thumbtack needle on nausea and vomiting induced by patient- controlled analgesia(PCA) after general anesthesia operation. Methods:A total of 96 cases of patients who received general anesthesia surgery were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. After the surgery,PCA was performed in the two groups;the control group was treated with conventional antiemetic medicine, and the study group was treated with point massage combined with thumbtack needle. The time of the first anal exhaust, the time of the first defecation and the recovery time of bowel sounds in the two groups were recorded. The incidence of nausea and vomiting, and the satisfaction rates of nausea and vomiting prevention within 24 hours and 48 hours after surgery in the two groups were compared. Results:The time of the first anal exhaust, the time of the first defecation and the recovery time of bowel sounds in the study group were earlier or shorter than those in the control group(P< 0.05). The incidence of nausea and vomiting within 24 hours and 48 hours after surgery was 35.42% and 16.67% respectively, compared with 50.00% and 31.25% in the control group respectively, there being no significance in differences(P>0.05). The satisfaction rate of nausea and vomiting prevention after surgery in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). Conclusion: Point massage combined with thumbtack needle can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after general anesthesia operation, and effectively prevent the occurrence of nausea and vomiting induced by PCA.
